Irrigation Competency Card Packet

To obtain an irrigation contractor competency card, here is a checklist to follow:

1. Download the Competency Card Packet.

The application form is in this packet.

2. Pay a non-refundable application fee.

3. Submit with application the following information:

• Notarized letter from previous employers verifying at least 2 years of experience in working with the installation and servicing of irrigation systems.

• Photocopy of Driver's License

4. We then will sign off as a sponsor so that you can take the Irrigation Installation Exam and the Business and Law Exam . The exams require a passing score of at least 75% on each exam. Exam results are faxed to us. We will then contact you or you may contact us at 386-274-0692 to schedule a time to come in and complete the competency card process. At this time you will need the following items:

• Certificate of Insurance (Liability/Property Damage/Worker's Comp) with Volusia County Health Department listed as the certificate holder. (A Work Comp Exemption Certificate can replace Worker's Comp Insurance for companies with no employees).

• A photo will also be taken of you - this photo will be applied to the competency ID card you will be issued after meeting all the requirements.
