Rats, Snakes, Tall Grass, Junk Cars

Q: There are rats and snakes in my neighbor's yard. Can the Environmental Health Office help with this problem?

A: The Environmental Health Section does not investigate problems related to snakes, rats, tall grass or junk cars. Contact your local municipal or county Zoning or Code Enforcement Office to file a complaint. Local municipalities and the county (for those living in unincorporated areas of Volusia County) have rules regulating those types of problems.
