Every year, the Volusia County Health Department receives hundreds of reports of notifiable communicable diseases. Yet many more cases
of communicable diseases go unreported every year by health professionals. Unreported infectious diseases may jeopardize the health
of others in the community - not only the affected patient. Please join in our efforts to increase reporting of notifiable infectious diseases to better protect
the health of Volusia County. The Volusia County Health Department is here to serve the community in communicable disease control.
We can provide health professionals with an orientation of how to contribute to this program.
